Furniture set for waxing or glazing: It is advisable to apply a thin layer of Schnellschliffgrund to all visible cut edges (end grain edges) with a narrow brush before applying paint. This is to prevent the colored liquid wax or glaze from penetrating too much into the open pores of the wood fibers (end grain) and staining them too dark. Make sure that the Schnellschliffgrund does not get on other surfaces, otherwise light spots will appear here after applying liquid wax or varnish. If this happens by accident, the quick sanding primer should be wiped off immediately with a cloth (possibly soaked with a little turpentine) from these areas without leaving any residue.
